Manatee Clerk & Comptroller donate much-needed items to help kids never miss a day of school

SAS and Clerk teams with donated items

The Office of Angelina “Angel” Colonneso, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller of Manatee County, collected many boxes and bags of clothing, hygiene products, dental hygiene products, water bottles, rain gear, and more to help children from low-income households never miss a day of school.

Working with School Attendance Support, Inc. (SAS), a nonprofit whose mission is to address school attendance barriers that children in low-income households face, the donations will benefit students attending Ballard Elementary, Electa Arcotta Lee, and King Middle schools by providing them access to products, like toothbrushes and toothpaste that may not be available at home.

"Our team hopes that our donations will help students have the basics they need to focus on their education," said Angel Colonneso, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Manatee County.
