Manatee Clerk of Court announces 2024 Operation Green Light Event date

The Office of Angelina “Angel” Colonneso, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Manatee County is hosting its annual Operation Green Light event from 8:30 a.m. to Noon on Saturday April 6. This in-person event will take place at the Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s office located in downtown Bradenton at 1115 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, FL 34205.  

Since 2016, beginning with Driver License Reinstatement Days, the Clerk’s office has helped hundreds of customers become eligible for driver license reinstatement.

"Possessing a valid driver’s license means more than just mobility; it signifies increased time, freedom, and opportunity. It's a privilege we aim to restore. I urge everyone to capitalize on this event and embark on their journey back to the road."

Event Details

This upcoming event is an opportunity for Manatee County customers with suspended driver licenses to pay overdue court obligations, including traffic tickets, while saving up to 30 percent in collection agency fees.

What Customers Need to Know

  • For customers interested in setting up a payment plan, pursuant to F.S. 28.246 a down payment of up to $100 is required, in addition to a $25 charge to establish a payment plan, plus any clearance fees.
  • Only customers who did not participate in the 2023 Operation Green Light event are eligible to participate this year.
  • Customers need to bring with them their driver license and case numbers, if they have it, and cash or a credit card for payment. A 3.5% non-refundable processing fee will be added to each credit card transaction.
  • This is a walk-in event and appointments are not required.

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles' FLOW bus will not be at this year's event. Customers will need to schedule an appointment for the Tax Collector Driver's License Office at 904 301 Blvd. W. to complete the process to reinstate their driver's license. The Driver's License Office does not allow walk-ins and serves Manatee County residents only. For customers who do not reside in Manatee County, you will need to contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office for reinstatement instructions.
