The Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller’s Office has published a new listing of unclaimed funds held by our office this past year. Last year, of the $12,600 total of unclaimed funds only $3,214.77 were claimed. To see if you are owed any money, please take a look at the list and contact our office. The money is for jury service, restitution, cash bond refunds, garnishments, over payment refunds and court registry disbursements. If you think you are eligible for any unclaimed money, you must submit a notarized written claim/or court motion with the Manatee County Clerk’s Office, by September 1st, pursuant to Florida Statute 116.21. If the funds are not claimed by this date, the money is declared forfeited and transferred to the fine and forfeiture fund.
