When the Clerk's Office must make purchases of items over $500.00 in value, those purchases are the responsibility of the Purchasing Department. It is the mission of Purchasing to procure government goods and services at the most economical prices with an eye towards quality and the time needed for delivery. By evaluating competitive pricing between various vendors, Purchasing ensures that taxpayers' money is being put to the most efficient and effective use. It should be noted that the Clerk's Purchasing department makes purchases for not only the Clerk's office itself, but for various county museums located throughout Manatee County. The Purchasing Department embraces a policy of maximum competition; all qualified vendors are welcome to take the opportunity to compete in the Clerk's purchasing process.
