In Manatee County, records of all Court-ordered
Child Support and alimony payments are maintained by the
Child Support Depository. While all payments are sent
to a central location in the state, called the Florida
State Disbursement Unit, the Depository's function is
to maintain the county's record of those payments made
and charges assessed for each case where support is ordered
payable through the Court.
In 2005, the Manatee County Depository processed
201,761 payments totaling $28,550,139 in disbursed child
support, alimony, and medical payments. The Depository
maintains 15,641 active cases.
